Your Words + Your Art = One Meaningful Piece

Your Words + Your Art = One Meaningful Piece

Last fall, after a women's workshop I led, one of the ladies came up to me with an old bible in her hands.
We both teared up as she told me about the handwritten words inside the bible of her father-in-law who had recently passed away. She had a desire to capture these words into something tangible for the family but wasn't sure how. Could I help?
Over the years, I've had the honor of doing a few pieces like this and every time it feels sacred. It feels as if I am being let into the most precious memories of a family and asked to help them preserve these moments.
I do not take this lightly.
Now, I am not going to share photos of the work that I did for that woman as it is her story to share, not mine. But I will share for you the work that I have done for myself.
Back in 2017, just a few weeks before my sister went home to heaven, her and I were sitting at my kitchen table. A tote of paint and my three kids between us, just relaxing in a day of creativity.
That afternoon gave me a sweet memory I will treasure for the rest of my life as Ang painted this succulent that now hangs in my home.
As a nod to her love and mine of black and white photos, I uploaded a photo of her painting along with the words she wrote on my birthday card to create this print that will soon hang in my stairwell.
Framed prints like this one are just one option that I can create if you too want to capture the sweet moments of the past into something tangible for your home.
Old recipes, your kids handwriting, birthday cards, and artwork can all be used to create meaningful artwork for your home, prayer cards for your pocket, or even throw pillows or blankets to wrap yourself in the loving words of those gone before you.
And the best part about it, once your design is created, we can produce duplicates so that everyone in your extended family can order too (unless of course you want to keep this just for you!)
